In 1991, Monaco joined the United States of America’s Visa Waiver Program. The United States introduced the Electronic System for Travel Authorization in 2009. Citizens of Monaco were able to apply online for admission into the U.S.A.
The ESTA is a travel document/authorization that grants citizens of Monaco entry to the U.S. for 90 days. It is only valid for business, tourism (including health), and non-credit studies programs. A tourist visa is required for any other purpose or more extended stays. Visas are different. There are many types of visas. You will need to wait in line at the nearest U.S. Embassy to obtain it.
Apply for the ESTA in good time, at least 72 hours before you board your plane. Your approved ESTA is valid for two years and can be used multiple times.

When should citizens of Monaco apply for ESTA?
Applying for an ESTA 72 hours before boarding a U.S.-bound aircraft is mandatory. Citizens of Monaco should get an ESTA at least a week in advance to ensure that their travel authorization (ESTA) is granted promptly. If denied, applicants must apply for a tourist visa at a U.S. Embassy. This can be tedious. Apply today if you are planning to visit the United States shortly.
